Brittny Meekins Ervin – Assistant Principal, Dutchman Creek Middle School

Hello! My name is Mrs. Brittny Meekins Ervin, and I am excited to join the Dutchman Creek Middle School family as the 8th Grade Assistant Principal. I began my career in education in 2002. Since then, I have served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including secondary English teacher, Dean of Student Leadership (Saluda Trail Middle School), Interim Assistant Principal, as well as Title I Academic Interventionist.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering student achievement, supporting teacher growth, and building strong partnerships with families and the community. I believe that every student deserves a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment where they are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My educational philosophy centers on building meaningful relationships, maintaining high expectations, and empowering students to become confident, and responsible leaders. I wholeheartedly believe that when educators, families, and students work together with a shared commitment to excellence, all students can achieve success.

In my free time, I am usually "ubering" one of my three children to their activities. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends as well as reading the stacks of books I continuously add to.

I look forward to partnering with Dutchman Creek Middle School families to continue the tradition of excellence.
